<br />Memo <br /> <br />To: Human Rights Commissioners <br /> <br />From: Debbie Zamow <br /> <br />Re: June 8, 1999 Meeting Summary <br /> <br />Date: June 23,1999 <br /> <br />The Tuesday, June 8, 1999 meeting of the Roseville Human Rights Commission was not held <br />because a quorum was not present. The following members attended: Issac Afwerke, J an <br />Gordon, Alexis Orosz, Mary Vidas, and youth representative, Marcella Houser. <br /> <br />Commission members discussed the following: <br /> <br />1. Human Rights Essay Contest <br />Afwerke raised the topic of the Rosefest Parade and stated that he will again be willing to <br />drive a car carrying the 1998 Essay Contest winners. <br /> <br />2. Cable Program/Promotion <br />Vidas reported that the taping of the program is done. Editing is scheduled for the end of <br />June and she plans for the program to air sometime in July. <br /> <br />3. Discussion of Parks and Recreation Issues <br />For the Commissioners who were unable to attend the last meeting, an overview was given <br />regarding the issues brought up by the Parks and Recreation Commission. Afwerke offered <br />to check with the DNR for a contact person. Egli phoned in a report stating that he contacted <br />Bob Bierscheid of the Parks and Recreation Department with contact names for language <br />translation. <br /> <br />Minutes from the May 11 meeting will be voted on during the next meeting scheduled for <br />Tuesday, July 13, at 7:00 p.m. <br />
