Improving and Increasing Education and Outreach - Karen Vnuk distributed notes with some
ideas to reach the committee goals.

Thelma McKenzie asked all Commissioners to submit their Committee reports to Carolyn at
your earliest convenience.

Americans With Disabilities Act Complaint

Carolyn Curti discussed her conversation with a Roseville resident who relies on a wheelchair
when he walks long distances. He recently went shopping at Kohl's Department Store. The
store's wheelchair is kept in the back of the store. The resident's attendant retrieved the
wheelchair for him, but the resident was unable to get the wheelchair through the aisles. Carolyn
encouraged the resident to file a complaint with the State Department of Human Rights which
can determine if the store is not in compliance with the ADA.

Commissioners requested that Carolyn do a more complete follow-up and get more details of the
incident. Martha Hardesty will check Kohl's Department Store webpage or contact them to see
what their store policies are.

Meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
