The bookmark would include a brief statement about Black History month and a list of <br />books, including books for younger readers, and information about the Human Rights Commission. <br />Commissioners will submit book suggestions to Carolyn Curti as soon as possible. <br /> <br />League of Minnesota Human Rights Commissions Annual Meeting <br /> <br />Thelma McKenzie thanked Mark Chapin and Karen Vnuk for their help at the annual meeting. <br /> <br />Department of Human Rights Annual Human Rights Day <br /> <br />Thelma McKenzie informed the Commissioners that Julian Bond will be the guest speaker at the <br />Department of Human Rights annual conference on December 5. The Department of Human Rights <br />is offering a lower rate of $75 for members oflocal commissions. Phil Crump moved and Larry <br />Voeller seconded a motion to send up to five Commission members or staff to the conference. <br />Commissioners are to let Carolyn Curti know if they are interested in attending. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />4 <br />
