. The Commission will try to work with the Roseville Police with the goal to form a partnership
with them.

Chair McKenzie said she would contact the Chaska Police Chiefto gather information on
how the Human Rights Commission could begin the process of sponsoring a "listening
circle. "

Commissioners suggested that the Police Chief meet with two Commissioners to explain
procedures. Commissioner Venters suggested this would be an opportunity for the Police to
educate Commissioners.

Commissioners discussed how old Human Rights Commission is. Do we have a 20 or 25 year
celebration coming up? If so this could be an opportunity for an open house and a way to
educate the public on what our Commission does.

Meeting adjourned at 9:00.

.

.

2
