The League is making a concerted effort this year to
reach out to all the Human Rights Communities throughout the State to see how we
can be of service to you.

As you may be aware, the purpose of the League is to assist Minnesota's local
human rights commissions in carrying out their human rights objectives. The
League does this by linking the local human rights commissions throughout the
State in idea exchanges and conferences, by providing program assistance,
educational material, and circulating news of human rights advances and concerns,
and by monitoring and helping to address local human rights disputes.

The League believes that its efforts in linking local human rights commissions
furthers human rights in the whole State. Our human rights goals don't stop at the
boarders of our individual cities. By combining the ideas, successes, and power of
all local human rights commissions in the State, we can further our mutual
objective to support human rights. Strength in unity will further each commission's
ability to secure freedom from discrimination.

We want to develop a close link with each Commission, and to share in what your
concerns are and perhaps to be able to offer some help. The League is striving for
communication with all the commissions on a regular basis.

We would love to hear from you to learn how we can be of service to you. Please
feel free to contact me at (763) 535-1051, or pegathy@msn.com.

Thank you,

t:'y7&/~("

Peg Flaherty
Chair, LMHRC Membership Maintenance / Outreach Committee
