asked about crosswalk painting. Schwartz said Ramsey County was in the
process of painting their intersections in the city now.

Schwartz introduced discussion on the joint meeting between the
Commission and City Council. Chair Wilke said he was pleased with how
it went and felt they were heard and acknowledged by the Council.
Member Neprash had some comments about the meeting. It was
mentioned that utility fees were at adequate levels. He suggested the City
request that the Minnesota Cities Storm Water Coalition do a survey of
rates from other cities to compare Roseville's rates. Member Neprash said
that a joint meeting with the Planning Commission had been discussed,
and he thought meeting with them and discussing the overlaps between
commissions would be a good idea. The other issue Member Neprash
brought up was water quality. He said it seemed worth the attention.

5. Comp Plan Systems Statement Update

Duane Schwartz presented information on the Systems Statement for the
Commission to review and comment on.

Member Neprash said it was interesting that the estimate of new jobs in
Roseville was so much higher than the estimate of new residents.

Member Neprash asked what the timeline was for completing the transit
center at Rosedale. Schwartz said that was through the Metro Transit, and
that there is some disagreement from Rosedale on the plan.

Member Neprash pointed out a statement in the plan that said the
wastewater interceptor that serves Roseville has limited available capacity
to provide for the long-term needs of the city. Bloom said the problem is
throughout the metro area, and steps are currently being taken to resolve
the issue.

Chair Wilke said he'd like to study the information a little more before
commenting.

Member DeBenedet asked for more information on the NE Corridor so he
could better understand it. He said sometimes making decisions only
thinking about the next 15 to 20 years is being too shortsighted.

Schwartz suggested they come back next month to discuss this topic.

6. James Addition Access Discussion

Schwaliz said that the City Council has asked the Commission for input
on this subject.
