Roseville Public Works, Environment and
Transportation Commission

Agenda Item

Date: January 23, 2007

Item No: 6

Item Description: James Addition Discussion

This is a continued discussion from the October meeting where the Commission received input
from James Addition residents regarding the access issue and the November meeting where the
Commission received additional information from Mn/DOT.

At the October meeting, there was support from the residents to look further at signal options on
Fairview A venue. Staff believes this would require significant traffic modeling to study the
impacts of signals given the offset close proximity intersections. There was little support for new
access options presented, which all required the removal of one or more homes.

We will be looking for recommendations on this subject from the Commission to present to the
City Council.

Recommended Action:

Discuss options and determine recommendations to forward on to the City Council.
