Structure MHCBN
Structure MHCBN is a catch basin on the south side of Millwood Avenue at the low point south
of Brenner Avenue. Historically, there has been storm sewer pipe flowing away from this catch
basin both towards Charlie Pond, as well as towards West Owasso Boulevard, and ultimately,
Lake Owasso. As part of the 2000 mill and overlay project, this catch basin was replaced, and the
cOilllection to the pipe draining directly to Lake Owasso was eliminated. Staff suggests
investigating the possibility of recOlmecting this pipe. This would allow stormwater to bypass
Charlie Pond and flow towards Lake Owasso during larger storm events, relieving the system
and reducing the depth of flooding that occurs in the street.

MH 105
Manhole 105 is located in the southwest comer of the Millwood Avenue and Brenner Avenue
intersection in the front of 800 Brenner Avenue. The casting cover is currently a solid cover that
does not allow any runoff into the storm sewer system; staff suggests changing this cover to an
open grate. This would be an inexpensive way to provide another inlet to ilie system and reduce
the depth of flooding in the intersection during rain events larger than the 1 OO-year event.

Recommended Action:

Discussion of next steps. The URS memo will be discussed in more detail at the meeting.
