As a nonprofit organization with the mission to denlonstrate that \\Taste is preventable, not inevitable, we value OUT partnership \\7ith Roseville and are proud to be part of the city's efforts to develop its recycling prograIl1. [n 2006, Rosevil[e and Eureka Recycling took major strides to decrease waste by adding new l1uterials, providing the city with a revenue share, and increasing the outreach and education provided through the recycling contract. We also worked together to set np sound data collection 111Cthods and establish clear channels of COlTl111Unication. Setting up a systenl for gathering accurate and con1plete inforn1ation is the only way to truly detern1ine if we are l11eeting Roseville's recycling and \vaste reduction goals. The infonnation gathered in 2006 provides a starting point that will allow us to detern1ine future program effectiveness (i.e., the application of a specific outreach canlpaign, the addition of a new material, ete.) by comparing future outcon1es to the 2006 baseline data. Throughout the year our close interaction with city staff, attendance at neighborhood events, and hundreds of conversations with Itoseville residents, have confinned for us that ltoseville's C011111llt111ent to the envirol1lnent ren1ains strong.
