<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council <br />of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on <br />the 8th day of March, 1993 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members <br />Johnson, <br />Goedeke. <br />Member Cushman <br /> <br />were present: Cushman, P. Johnson, and V. <br />and the following were absent: Maschka and <br /> <br />moved that the following resolution be adopted: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8895 <br /> <br />RICE CREEK CROSSING f S PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Rice Creek Crossings Project will result in the <br />clearance and redevelopment of an existing blighted site in the <br />community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Rice Creek Crossings Project will result in the provision <br />of needed alternative housing opportunities for low and moderate income <br />senior citizens; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Rice Creek Crossings Project would provide housing <br />consistent with the needs outlined in the Maxfield Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Rice Creek Crossings Project will be consistent <br />with the Vista 2000 Housing Committee recommendations regarding having <br />affordable rental units for seniors and with the redevelopment of <br />existing commercial/industrial properties with appropriate housing. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville hereby <br />supports the Rice Creek Crossings Project as its primary block grant <br />priority and subsequently forwards it to the Ramsey County Board <br />requesting funding with community Development Block Grant funds. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member p~ Johnson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following vote in favor thereof: Cushman, P.Johnson,· and V.
