<br />We, the undersigned employees of the Village of Rosev!lle, <br /> <br />hereby petition that the Village Council of Roseville pass a <br /> <br />resolution urging the 1967 State Le~islature take all steps possible <br /> <br />to permit the coordination of the Public Employee's Retirement <br /> <br />Association pension prop,ram and the Federal Social Security <br /> <br />program. <br /> <br />We feel that the present P.E.R.A. pension benefits are inadequate <br /> <br />and that the cost to the employees is excessive compared to Social <br /> <br />Security. We are also opposed to the P.E.R.A. legislative proposal <br /> <br />which would remove the current $6,000 salary ceiling for deduction <br /> <br />purposes. <br /> <br />The Legislature has granted the state employees, the teachers and the <br /> <br />hospital employees the right to participate in the Social Security <br />System.
