<br />RESOLUTION NO. 182 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of <br />Roseville duly held on the 15th day of May, 1958, the following Resolution <br />was offered by Hammersten,; seconded by Carlsonk; <br /> <br />to wit: <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Village of Roseville has approved the plans and speci- <br />cations for the improvement of that part of Trunk highway Number 118 re- <br />numbered as Trunk Highway Number 36 wi thin the corporate lirni ts of the <br />Village of Roseville at intersection of Snelling Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS in order to obtain Federal aid in the construction of said <br />Trunk Highway Number IlB renumbered as Trunk Highway Number 36 the Bureau <br />of Public Roads requires the assurance that the Village of Roseville will <br />not suffer any encroachment of any nature or kind whatsoever on the right <br />of way of said Trunk Highway Number 118 renumbered as Trunk Highway Number <br />36 within the corporate limits of the said Village of Roseville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Commissioner of Highways desires in the interest of <br />public safety that all parking of vehicles on said trunk highway be parallel <br />wi th the curb and at least 20 feet from any crosswalk. <br /> <br />NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED that said Village of Roseville does <br />hereby agree and covenant that it will never permit or suffer, within its <br />corporate limits, any encroachment of any kind whatsoever, including curb <br />gas pumps and gas stations, billboards or other structures of any kind <br />whatsoever, upon the right of way of Trunk Highway Number llB renumbered <br />as Trunk Highway Number 36 and to the above end said Village of Roseville <br />hereby agrees that it will never issue any license, permit, or grant, or <br />give any leave or liberty or any other consent of whatever form for the <br />construction or maintenance of any encroachment whatsoever, including curb <br />gas pumps and gas stations, billboards or other structures of any kind what- <br />soever, upon said right of way; and that said Village of Roseville will <br />cooperate insofar as possible to eliminate existing encroachments constituting <br />traffic hazards and will further take any necessary action to eliminate any <br />encroacrwent that may hereafter exist on said trunk highway right of way; and <br /> <br />BE IT FlJ11.THER RESOINED that said Village of Roseville does hereby <br />agree to require the parking of all vehicles on said trunk highway to be <br />parallel with the curb and at least twenty (20) feet from any crosswalks on <br />all public streets intersecting said trunk highway within the corporate <br />limits of said Village of Roseville. <br /> <br />Upon the call of the roll the following members voted in favor of the <br />Resolution: Carlson, Brennan, Hammersten, McGee. <br /> <br />The following (none) voted against its adoption: <br />whereupon the hayor and presiding officer declared the Resolution adopted. <br /> <br />Dated April 16 , 1958. <br /> <br />NAYOR <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />V lLLAGE CLl.<;RK <br />
