NOTICE OF HEARING
ON STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT NO. 67-20
OF THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the council of the Village of
Roseville, Minnesota, will meet at the Village Council Chambers,
270l North Lexington Avenue, on the 24th day of July, 1967, at
7:30 o'clock p. m., to hold a public hearing pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended, on proposed Storm Drainage
Improvement No. 67-20 consisting of the construction of trunk,
sub-trunk and lateral storm sewers serving an area of approximarely
120 acres located in the northeast quarter of Section 16 and
generally bounded by Roselawn Avenue, Snelling Avenue, County Road B,
and Fairview Avenue. The main trunk outlet will discharge into an
existing 42 inch storm sewer located on Skillman Avenue immediately
east of Snelling Avenue, which sewer was constructed in 1962 under a
previous local storm drainage improvement. The ultimate outlet for
the proposed system is through Zimmerman Lake, Dry Robinson Lake,
and into County Ditch 4 which discharges into Lake Johanna. Lake
Johanna in turn drains through a series of private ditches and
natural water courses to eventually reach Long Lake in New Brighton
which is drained to the Mississippi River via Rice Creek. The
system consists of a series of pipes varying in size from 12 inch
through 42 inch, together with necessary catch basins, manholes and
appurtenances to result in the drainage of water into the storm
sewer system from the aforementioned l20 acre area. The foregoing is
all substantially in accordance with a preliminary engineering report
which is now on file and open to public inspection in the office of
the Village Manager.

The cost of the improvement is presently estimated at approxi-
mately $ 317,000 . The area proposed to be assessed for the
improvement shall be all that part of the NE 1/4 of Section 16,
T 29, R 23 described as follows:

Commencing at the SW corner of the NE 1/4 of Section l6,
T 29, R 23, said corner also being the intersection of
Roselawn and Fairview Avenues: thence N'ly along the
west line of said NE l/4 approximately l/4 mile to the
south line of the N 1/2 of said NE l/4, said south
line also being the south line of Block 7, Ed Bossard
Addition Plat No.4: thence E'1y along said south
line of said Block 7 to the SW corner of Lot l1,
Block 7 of said Addition: thence N"ly along the west
