<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE VILLAGE <br />COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA HELD July 10 1967. <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />PL1rsuant to due call and notice thereof, a <br />regL1lar meeting of the Village Council of the Village cf <br />Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the <br />Village Hall in said Village on lOth day of July , 1967, <br />at7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were <br />present: <br />Mayor Cedarholm, Councilmen Curley, Shields and <br />Grauel <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: Councilman Goodrich <br /> <br />Member Shields introduced the follo1dng <br />Resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO 1863 <br />.- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SUBMISSION TO THE <br />ELECTORS ON WHETHER ORDINANCE NO.54? SHALL BECOME <br />EFFECTIVE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota StatL1tes ~4l2.022 provides <br />that the Council may by Ordinance establish four (4) year <br />terms for the office of Mayor and Councilmen, and further <br />provides that said elections for said office may be <br />determined by the Council whether to be on even or ode <br />numbered years, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council has adopted Ordinance <br />No. 547 providing for four (4) year terms for the Mayor <br />and Councilmen and provides that the election for said <br />office shall be on even-numbered years, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, said <br />Ordinance shall not become effective without the majo::ity <br />of the electors voting in a General or Special ElectiJn, <br />
