June 8, 2007
Page 2
seems viable, Ruth wants to remain on the property.
It is all well and good for opponents of any project to want to look back on the
good old days, when fields, farms and open spaces were plentiful, and to bemoan this
project, or any project for that matter, as being "too big," but the facts are clear:
1. Ruth Partridge needs to find a new home - hopefully a new home in the
development proposed by United Properties.
2. This property is guided for higher density, and the proposed project will
meet the community's needs for this type of housing.
3. United Properties is a thoughtful, responsible and experienced developer
of this type of residential community within the City of Roseville and
elsewhere.
4. While affecting the neighbors, as any development would, this project has
been designed to provide as gentle a transition from single-family homes
to commercial properties as is reasonably possible.
5. The City Planner has recommended approval of the project, and. his report
to the Planning Commission states his unbiased reasons for approval.
On behalf of Ruth Partridge, lifelong resident of the City of Roseville, we
respectfully request that City Council approve the development proposed by United
Properties.
Thank you for your consideration of our request.
Sincerely,
John B. Winston
JBW/krm
