L~dminiStratl®n Mr. Miller noted that Administration ®perating divisions consisted of the City Council and Commissions, Elections, FIurnan Resources, Re- cycling and Communications, as well as Information Technology op- erations and the License Center. Highlights and discussion paints specific to administration included undertaking performance measures; improved creation, storage and public accessibility of internal record storage; increasing health care cost fluctuations; License Center net revenues subsidizing the General Fund; increased risk management functions and resources (Workers Compensation and litigation issues); Police Department Specific discussion included staff restructuring; actual overtime costs, mandated reasons, and union contractual requirements; impacts and potential reimbursement for assistance with the upcoming Republican National Convention; and potential revenue sources for the depart- ment. Councilmember Kough requested that Police Chief Sletner consider and provide additional information regarding a motorcycle patrol for the City. Fire Department Specific discussion included recent restructuring impacts and advan- tages; current under-funding for vehicle replacement; and number of operable stations. Public Works Mr. Schwartz noted that the operating divisions include Public Works Administration, Engineering, Streets, Street Lighting, Building Main- tenance, Central Garage, Sanitary Sewer, Water, Storm Drainage, and Pathway/Parking Lot Maintenance.
