EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 24th day of September, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: Roe, Pust, Ihlan, Kough and Klausing and the following were absent: none. Member Roe introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION No. 10556 A resolution approving a mutual aid agreement relating to a combined tactical team with the Cities of New Brighton and St. Anthony which will be known as the East Metro Swat Team and authorizing the Chief of Police to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City of Roseville. WHEREAS, the City of Roseville approved a Joint Powers Agreement for a combined tactical team with the City of St. Anthony in 2002; and WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton's Department of Public Safety has accepted an invitation to join, making the team more viable in the community; and WHEREAS, given the nature of the current agreement, we are renaming the agreement a Mutual Aid Agreement; and WHEREAS, the new combined tactical team will be known as the East Metro SWAT Team. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Roseville approves a Mutual Aid Agreement relating to a combined tactical team with the Cities of St. Anthony and New Brighton which will be known as the East Metro SWAT Team and authorizes the Chief of Police to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City of Roseville. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Pust, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof Roe, Pust, Ihlan, Kough and Klausing and the following voted against the same: none. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
