EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, Minnesota was duly held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, the 5th day of <br />November, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Roe, Pust, Ihlan and Klausing and the following were <br />absent: Kough <br />Councilmember Pust introduced and moved the adoption of the following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10565 <br />RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR CLEAN WATER LEGACY GRANT APPLICATION <br />ON BEHALF OF RAMSEY COUNTY LIBRARY <br />WHEREAS, Roseville Library is the busiest public library in the state of Minnesota and is slated <br />to undergo a $15.6 million expansion, and <br />WHEREAS, the Friends of the Suburban Ramsey County Libraries believe the renovation offers <br />a tremendous opportunity to showcase ecological design and water conservation through <br />innovative stormwater best management practices, and <br />WHEREAS, the Friends of Ramsey County Libraries has identified the Clean Water Legacy <br />grant funds being offered by the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) as a potential <br />funding source, and <br />WHEREAS, only local government units or LGU joint powers organizations working under a <br />current state approved, locally adopted water management plan may apply for and receive Clean <br />Water Legacy funds. Partner organizations such as non-profits must work in conjunction with <br />eligible applicants to apply, and <br />WHEREAS, the Friends of Suburban Ramsey County Libraries is anon-profit and has requested <br />that the City of Roseville apply for these funds on their behalf, and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville that: <br />The Roseville City Council adopts this resolution to apply for Clean Water Legacy Grant on <br />behalf of Ramsey County Library, <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Ihlan and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Roe, Pust, Ihlan and Klausing and the <br />following voted against the same: <br />
