CiTy of <br />1~, <br />~~ Minnesota, USA <br />Planning Commission Board Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes -Wednesday, October 03, 2007 <br />Call to Order <br />Chair Bakeman called to order the Planning Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. and reviewed <br />the role and purpose of the Planning Commission. <br />2. Roll Call & Introductions <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />Members Present: Commissioners Ildephonse Gasongo; Thomas Gottfried; Daniel Boerigter; <br />Jim Doherty; Joe Wozniak; Barbara Martinson; and Chair Mary Bakeman. <br />Staff present: City Planner Thomas Paschke; Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd; City Engineer <br />Debra Bloom; and Economic Development Associate Jamie Radel. <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br />MOTION <br />Member Doherty moved, seconded by Member Martinson to approve meeting minutes <br />of September 5 2007 as presented. <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />4. Communications and Recognitions: <br />a. From the Public (Public Comment on items not on the agenda): <br />No one appeared to speak on any non-agenda items. <br />b. From the Staff or Commission: <br />Chair Bakeman noted staff preparation and distribution to Commissioners of previously- <br />requested data on the process status of various planning cases; and noted that discussion <br />with staff would be held at the end of tonight's meeting, during the "Information and <br />Reports" portion of the meeting. <br />Commissioner Doherty advised that he would be unavailable for the November Variance <br />Board and/or Planning Commission meetings due to a scheduling conflict. <br />Commissioner Doherty announced, and invited Commissioners to attend, an Open House <br />at City Hall scheduled for Thursday, October 11, 2007 from 5:00 - 7;00 p.m. to meet with <br />finalists for the Community Development Director, including City Planner Thomas <br />Paschke, who was one of the finalists. <br />5. Public Hearings Continued from August <br />a. PROJECT FILE 0001 <br />Review and discussion of proposed amendments to the Residence Districts <br />chapter of the zoning ordinance, pursuant to the 2007 Lot Split Study <br />recommendations. <br />Chair Bakeman opened the Public Hearing for Project File 0001. <br />Economic Development Associate Jamie Radel provided a brief review and <br />discussion of proposed amendments to the Residence Districts chapter of the City's <br />Zoning Ordinance, pursuant to the 2007 Lot Split Study recommendations; and those <br />items identified by the City Council following those recommendations. <br />
