CiTy of <br />1~, <br />~~ Minnesota, USA <br />Planning Commission Board Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes -Wednesday, November 07, 2007 <br />Call to Order <br />Chair Bakeman called to order the Planning Commission meeting at 6:35 p.m. and reviewed <br />the role and purpose of the Planning Commission. <br />2. Roll Call & Introductions <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />Members Present: Commissioners Ildephonse Gasongo; Thomas Gottfried; Jim Doherty; <br />Daniel Boerigter; Barbara Martinson; Joe Wozniak; and Chair Mary Bakeman. <br />Staff present: City Planner Thomas Paschke; Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd; Economic <br />Development Associate Jamie Radel; Interim Community Development Director Mike Darrow; <br />and City Engineer Debra Bloom. <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br />MOTION <br />Member Doherty moved, seconded by Member Gottfried to approve meeting minutes of <br />October 3, 2007 as presented, with minor typographical corrections provided to staff by <br />Chair Bakeman. <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />4. Communications and Recognitions: <br />a. From the Public (Public Comment on items not on the agenda): <br />No one appeared to speak on any non-agenda items. <br />b. From the Staff or Commission: <br />i) Discuss Planning Commission meeting dates for 2008 <br />Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd reviewed the proposed 2008 meeting dates for the <br />Planning Commission, with staff recommending rescheduling the January meeting to <br />Wednesday, January 9, 2008. <br />Commissioners concurred with the proposed January 9, 2008 meeting date; and <br />requested that staff update public information sources accordingly. <br />ii) Agenda Modification <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke requested modification of tonight's agenda to hear <br />Project File 0001 (Request to consider amendments to the Residence Districts <br />chapter of the zoning ordinance, pursuant to the 2007 Lot Split Study <br />recommendations) before Planning File 07-053 to accommodate a scheduling conflict <br />for the City's traffic consultant. <br />Mr. Paschke further requested addition of the scheduled Public Hearing and a brief <br />discussion on Comprehensive Plan Update, inadvertently removed from the prepared <br />agenda. <br />Commissioners concurred, and by consensus, the agenda was modified accordingly. <br />
