Commission
presents to your school a commemorative poster of Dr. King. The words written on this
poster reflect generations of hope and proclaim- the promise of a better world for our
children.
Throughout his life Dr. King fearlessly spoke against bigotry and racism; he was arrested
and j ailed numerous times for voicing his vision of the world.. In December 1964, Dr.
King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.. On Apri14,1968, Dr. King was assassinated,
giving the ultimate sacrifice fighting for what he believed.
The Roseville Human Rights Commission continues the work of Dr. King, We believe
that through education and action we can change racist attitudes and promote Dr. King's
dream. Please talk to your students about the work of Dr. King and others fighting
against racism.. Proudly display this poster to honor the work of Dr. King.
