• <br />Rules for the Roseville Human Rights Commission <br />Revised Junk, 1986 <br />Chapter I. Name: The organization shall be called the <br />ROSEVILLE HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION, subsequently <br />to be referred to as the Commission. <br />Chapter II. Members: The Commission shall consist of ten (10) <br />members to be appointed by the City Council. <br />Chapter III. Policy: <br />A. It shall be the public policy of the City <br />of Roseville to fulfill its responsibility as <br />a partner with the State Department of Human <br />Rights in securing for all citizens equal oppor- <br />tunity in housing, employment, public accommo- <br />dations, public services and education, and to <br />work consistently to improve the human relations <br />climate of the City of Roseville. <br />B. It shall be the policy of the Commission <br />to be informed of all local, state, national <br />and international events and trends which bear <br />upon Human Rights as that term has been defined <br />and implemented by local, state, national and <br />international consensus. <br />Chapter IV. Purpose: The purpose of the Commission is to <br />secure for all citizens equal opportunity in <br />employment, housing, public accommodations, <br />public services, and education and full partic- <br />ipation in the affairs of this community by <br />assisting the State Department of Human Rights <br />in implementing the Minnesota Human Rights <br />Acts, Chapter 363, 1984 and 1985, and by <br />advising the City Council on long range programs <br />to improve community relations in the City of <br />Roseville. <br />Chapter V. Organizational Structure: <br />A. Officers: The officers of the Commission <br />shall be the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, <br />Recording Secretary - (Staff Assistant) and <br />Chairperson of specific committees. F <br />• 1. Chairperson: <br />(a) Shall be elected annually at the <br />regular October meeting. <br />
