2. Right-Of--Way: Cul-de-sac right-of--way shall extend at least ten feet (10') outside of the <br />proposed back of curb. <br />3. Standazd Design: The standazd cul-de-sac shall have a terminus of neazly circular shape <br />with a standazd diameter of one hundred feet (100'). <br />4. Alternatives to the Standard Design: An alternative to the standazd design, to <br />accommodate unusual conditions, may be considered by the Public Works Director and shall <br />be brought to the City Council for approval based on the Public Works Director's <br />recommendation. <br />5. Islands: As an option, a landscaped island maybe constructed in a cul-de-sac terminus. A <br />minimum clear distance of twenty-four feet (24') shall be required between the island and the <br />outer curb. No physical barriers which would impede the movement of emergency vehicles <br />shall be allowed within the island. No pazking shall be allowed in a cul-de-sac terminus with <br />a landscaped island unless reviewed and recommended for approval by the Fire Marshal. <br />SECTION 3. Effective Date. This ordinance amendment to the Roseville City Code <br />shall take effect upon passage and publication. <br />Passed this 28th day of January, 2008 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />
