City of Roseville - HRA Minutes for May 16, 2006Page 2 of 6 <br />as presented. <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried: 7-0 <br />7.Public Hearing <br />None <br />8.Action Items <br />Selection of Members for Citizen Advisory Group on Rental Housing (HF0036) <br />a. <br />Executive Director Bennett noted that this item was tabled from the April HRA meeting. Bennett <br />provided a summary regarding the additional applications received and the evaluation by the HRA <br />Subcommittee consisting of Jill Bean, Jen Millasovich and Susan Elkins. <br />Member Bean spoke on behalf of the subcommittee and passed out their recommendation for each <br />category. She noted the evaluation process of the subcommittee and why they are recommending <br />each person. They received a good distribution of applicants except did not received an applicant <br />from anyone who lives in rental property currently in Roseville. They are able to recommend an even <br />distribution of rental and non-rental representatives--4 each plus commission appointments. <br />The chair opened the discussion up for questions and he thanked the subcommittee for their work in <br />attracting more resident applicants and review of each to ensure a good quality group. <br />Motion: Member Millasovich moved, seconded by Member Bean, to appoint the following <br />applicants to the RHRA Citizen Advisory Group. <br />CategoryApplicant Appointed <br />Jim Olson <br />Single Family Rental Property (only application received) <br />Owner - Non-resident <br />Cory Schmitt <br />Duplex, Triplex of Fourplex -- young resident, owns & lived in duplex but now is <br />Owner - residenta single family resident. He would have both perspectives. He still <br />owns and rents the duplex in Roseville. <br />Resident renting property in none <br />Roseville <br />Kevin Kelly <br />Residents living next to rental – lives next to both duplex and single family rental, fire <br />property in Roseville – single inspection experience, resident with a younger family <br />family & multi-family <br />Ron Bartz <br /> - stability, experience with all age groups, worked with <br />diverse backgrounds, long time resident – 39 years <br />Annette Phillips <br />Resident at large -- people skills, civic minded, not previously <br />involved in Roseville committee, female and also a long term <br />resident. <br /> <br />Warren Anderson <br /> -- block captain, crime watch, knows how to <br />engage people in his neighborhood, codes & fire protection <br />background and also was a renter for 13 years to bring the <br />perspective of a person living in rental property. <br />Michelle Bonine <br />Multi-Family Property -- resident of Roseville who also works for a <br />Managerrental property management company with a property in Roseville <br /> <br />Sue Hackett <br /> -- also a Roseville resident who represents a tax- <br />credit property in Roseville and has worked with difficult rental <br />issues <br />http://archive.ci.roseville.mn.us/council/hra/minutes/2006/hram060516.htm3/10/2008 <br /> <br />
