<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held in the city <br />Hall on Monday, the twenty-sixth day of April, 1993, at 7:30 o'clock <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Goedeke, P. Johnson, <br />Cushman, and V. Johnson and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember P. Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adc>ption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS NO. 8931 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR 1993 CONTRACT B <br /> <br />Whereas;, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement, <br />according to the plans and specifications thereof on file in the office <br />of the Manager of said City, said bids were received on April 22, 1993, <br />at 10:()0 a.m., opened and tabulated according to law and the following <br />bids WE!re received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />BIDDER <br /> <br />AMOUNT <br /> <br />T. Schifsky and Sons, Inc. <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br />Tower Asphalt <br />Ashbach Construction Co. <br />Valley Paving <br /> <br />$968,216.60 <br />$1,015,837.63 <br />$1,040,603.69 <br />$1,111,143.83 <br />$1,125,093.88 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that T. A. Schifsky and Sons, Inc. of North st. <br />Paul, ~!innesota is the lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated price <br />of $968,216.60. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the city of <br />Roseville, Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into a contract with T. A. Schifsky and Sons, Inc. for $968,216.60 <br />in the name of the City of Roseville for the above improvements <br />ac:cording to the plans and specifications thereof heretofore <br />approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the city <br />Manager. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return <br />forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except <br />the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder <br />shall be retained until contracts have been signed. <br />
