Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, April 14, 2008 <br />Page 25 <br />City Attorney Anderson reminded Councilmembers of his firm's previous legal <br />opinion from 2003 on deadlines and filing periods for special election considera- <br />tions. City Attorney Anderson also noted that, if the Council were to consider an <br />ordinance for a Special Election, proper notice and publication dates would have <br />to be worked into the timing. <br />Public Comment <br />John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn suggested that the City Council review a 1999/2000 Attorney <br />General opinion as it addressed a similar situation for the City of Maplewood. <br />Councilmember Pust sought clarification that discussions could proceed at the <br />next meeting on special election options; with Mayor Klausing confirming that <br />possibility, while still appointing someone immediately. <br />Ayes: Roe; Pust; and Klausing. <br />Nays: Ihlan. <br />Motion carried. <br />Roll Call <br />14.
