EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 21st day of April, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: Ihlan, Roe, Pust and Klausing and the following were absent: None Member Ihlan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION No. 10623 Prosecuting City Attorney Contract Change WHEREAS, City Council desires to improve Code Enforcement procedures and results; and WHEREAS, City Council and staff have carefully reviewed the process involving the issuance of Ramsey County Court Citations; and WHEREAS, City Council believes it is in the best interest for the health and safety and protection of property values to provide an expedited compliance of code violations; and WHEREAS, City Council believes staff should be empowered to act promptly on the City's behalf in issuing court citations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville hereby approves changing the current prosecuting attorney contract to eliminate Item Number 18, which requires a public hearing prior to the prosecuting city attorney acting upon a Ramsey County Court Citation issued by the Community Development Department; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the original provisions contained in Item Number 18 of the prosecuting attorney's contract will be reinstated after November 1, 2008 unless the City Council takes action to permanently modify the prosecuting attorney's contract. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Klausing, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Ihlan, Roe and Klausing
