The speaker indicated that recent rentals have not served to <br />promote a sense of community. The speaker questioned whether her speaking up <br />at tonight's meeting would result in her receiving an eviction notice, something <br />she had not yet experienced. <br />4. Council Communications, Reports & Announcements & Housing and Redevelop- <br />ment Authority (HRA) Report <br />Community Open House - 2008 Comprehensive Plan Update <br />The upcoming Community Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, August 27, 2008, <br />from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Roseville City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive. Chapters available <br />for review and comment included those on Land Use, Transportation, Environment, <br />Parks & Recreation, Economic Development, and Housing & Neighborhoods. For more <br />information, go to the Comprehensive Plan Update webpage at <br />www.ci.roseville.mn.us/CompPlan or contact Jamie Radel at 651 792-7072 or <br />j amie.radel(a~ci.roseville.mn.us <br />National Night Out <br />Councilmember Roe thanked all citizens and staff for their involvement in the recent Na- <br />tional Night Out, and specifically acknowledged the City's Firefighters and Police Offi- <br />cers, for their attempts to visit many different events, with over 90 neighborhoods par- <br />ticipating this year. Councilmember Roe opined that this was a terrific example of <br />neighborhoods working together as a community, and expressed hope that that sense of <br />community could be built upon in other ways. <br />Mayor Klausing concurred with Councilmember Roe's comments and expressed his ap- <br />preciation to staff and the community. <br />5.
