Council Discussion on the City Manager's Recommended Budget /CIP City Manager Malinen briefly reviewed the additional information provided by staff at the request of the City Council on various components of the 2009 City Manager-recommended Budget. Discussion included defining those items included in the 2009 Capital Improve- ment Plan (CIP) as part of the 2009 City Manager-recommended Budget; and a brief refresher of the budget process and timeline going forward. City Manager Malinen noted that staff was completing their work on department- specific budgets, and the 2009 proposed fee schedule revisions, as previously re- quested by the City Council. Councilmember Roe questioned if the 2009 City Manager-recommended Budget was available online for public review and comment. Mr. Miller advised that he would check, and that it would be posted by tomorrow, August 19, 2008, if not already available; and that copies were always available to the public at City Hall. Councilmember Roe requested Public Comment on the City Manager's Budget be placed on the agenda for the 8th of September. 14. City Manager Future Agenda Review City Manager Malinen briefly reviewed upcoming City Council Agendas. Councilmember Pust confirmed that discussion on the recently-adopted non-conforming use ordinance was scheduled for August 25, 2008, with City Manager Malinen confirm- ing that date. City Manager Malinen, at the request of the City Council, noted that the September 8, 2008 Agenda would provide another opportunity for public comment on the proposed 2009 Budget. 15.
