Call Roll <br />Mayor Klausing called to order the regular meeting of the Roseville City Council at ap- <br />proximately 6:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone. <br />Voting and Seating Order: Roe; Ihlan; Willmus; Pust; and Klausing. <br />City Attorney Jay Squires was also present. <br />2. Approve Agenda <br />By consensus, the agenda was approved as presented. <br />3. Public Comment <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the audience on any non- <br />agenda items. <br />a. John Abeler, 2339 Roselawn Avenue W <br />Mr. Abeler expressed disappointment in the lack of response he'd received from <br />the City Council, City Manager Malinen, or Police Chief Carol Sletner regarding <br />his concerns raised to officers of the Roseville Police Department of an incident <br />he'd experienced on Highway 36 on August 2, 2008. <br />Councilmember Willmus advised that he had personally contacted the Police <br />Chief for a copy of the report; and after his review of that report, opined that he <br />was concerned with what was contained in the report, and that those concerns <br />were not based on actions of the Police Department. Councilmember Willmus <br />advised Mr. Abeler that he was reluctant to elaborate further in this public forum; <br />however, he offered to discuss the situation with Mr. Abeler outside of the meet- <br />ing. <br />Mr. Abeler questioned if the incident had been discussed among Councilmem- <br />bers. <br />Councilmember Willmus clarified that he was speaking from his personal per- <br />spective; opined that there were some references in the report that would have <br />caused him concern; and reiterated that he didn't feel a public forum was the <br />place for further elaboration. <br />City Manager Malinen responded that, approximately one month ago, he had pro- <br />vided Mr. Abeler with a complaint form, should he wish to file a complaint re- <br />
