Discuss Request by Kron Family for City Participation in Sanitary Sewer <br />Public Works Director Duane Schwartz summarized the background information <br />contained in the staff report dated October 13, 2008 regarding the request of the <br />Kron's 1221 W County Road B, for City-assistance in last year's replacement of <br />their service line under the County street, and street patching costs. Mr. Schwartz <br />noted the City Attorney opinion included in the report, dated September 9, 2008. <br />Discussion included policy implications and distinctions for County roads and po- <br />tential city-wide cost implications and potential liability; asphalt versus concrete <br />repair costs; City costs, based on contract prices versus individual homeowner <br />costs for third-party repairs to County-required standards; inspection requirements <br />of the City and County for those repairs; the potential for billing homeowners <br />based on those contracted rates at City cost; and potential implications of such a <br />policy based on consistencies for all property owners. <br />Resident Anna Kron, 1221 County Road B <br />Ms. Kron reviewed the intent of her request, and sought a just and equitable solu- <br />tion from the City. <br />
