1 EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING I `' ~ ~ " ~~ ~~ 2 OF THE C 4~ c„ ~-- 4 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE 5 ~: ~ ~: ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ * ~ 6 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City 7 of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 13th day of October, 8 2008, at 6:00 p.m. 9 10 The following members were present: 11 12 and the following were absent: 13 ' 14 Member Pust introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: 15 16 RESOLUTION No. 17 18 City of Roseville Support and Endorsement of the 19 Northwest Youth and Family Services Campaign to create the Discovery Center 20 21 WHEREAS, the Northwest Youth & Family Services mission is to prepare youth and 22 families for healthy lives; and 23 24 WHEREAS, the City of Roseville greatly values the contributions Northwest Youth & 25 Family Services has provided for Roseville residents for over 30 years; 26 and 27 28 WHEREAS, Northwest Youth & Family Services of Minnesota is constructing the 29 Discovery Center to provide hands-on, experiential learning and physical 30 activity; and 31 32 WHEREAS, Northwest Youth & Family Services will utilize the Discovery Center to 33 better meet the needs of its clients; and 34 35 WHEREAS, the Discovery Center will be a community resource for youth sports, 36 meetings, festivals, and family celebrations; and 37 38 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville supports and 39 endorses the Northwest Youth and Family Services Campaign to create the Discovery 40 Center. 41 42 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member 43 44 ,and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: 45 46 and the following voted against the same: none. 47 48 WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 49 50 51 52 53 54 55
