With the expansion of the Rosedale Center, it seems unnecessary that the Har
Mar and Target areas, especially in light of the economy, be turned into major retail outlets as well. It was
disheartening to watch. as thriving businesses in Har Mar were forced out over the past year and a half only to
have spaces still standing empty many months later. I, for one, am tired of losing our small community feel with
the onslaught of chain restaurants and department stores and do not want Har Mar or the Target area to be
expanded in any way, for any reason.
I am asking the council to designate Har Mar and Target as "Community Business" with a 100,000 square
footprint limit on commercial retail development.
Thank you for your time.
Respectfully,
Lecia Edquist
Roseville homeowner and neighbor of the Har Mar Mall
10/13/2008
