<br />Planning Commission Board Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes - Wednesday, July 02, 2008 <br />1. Call to Order <br />Chair Bakeman called to order the Planning Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. and reviewed the <br />role and purpose of the Planning Commission. <br />2. Roll Call & Introductions <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />Members Present: Commissioners Joe Wozniak; Barbara Martinson; Jim Doherty; Daniel <br />Boerigter; Andre Best; and Chair Mary Bakeman <br />Members Excused: Commissioner Thomas Gottfried <br />Staff present: City Planner Thomas Paschke; Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd; City Engineer <br />Debra Bloom; and Economic Development Associate Jamie Radel <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br />MOTION <br />Member Doherty moved, seconded by Member Martinson to approve meeting minutes of <br />June 4, 2008 as presented. <br />Ayes: 6 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />4. Communications and Recognitions: <br />a. From the Public (Public Comment on items not on the agenda): <br />No one from the public appeared. <br />b. From the Commission or Staff: <br />Chair Bakeman reported that the RV Library was holding open house meetings about <br />their expansion: both tonight until 10:00 p.m. in the Library Community Room; and <br />Tuesday, July 29, at 7:00 p.m. in the Library’s Children’s Program Room. <br />Commissioner Boerigter made a public announcement for youth in grades 1 – 6 for sign <br />up for the Roseville Youth Football Organization, with more information available on the <br />league at their website: www.ray.org. <br />City Planner Paschke requested an agenda revision to hear Agenda Item 6, “United <br />Properties for review of the Planned Unit Development (PUD) Sketch Plan (Planning File <br />08-020) before Agenda Item 5.c (Project File 0013). The revised agenda was approved <br />by consensus. <br />5. Public Hearings <br />a. Project File 0004 <br />Discussion of the current progress and status of the ongoing update of <br />Roseville’s Comprehensive Plan <br />Chair Bakeman opened the Public Hearing for Planning File 0004. <br />Economic Development Associate Jamie Radel briefly reviewed status of the draft Land <br />Use Chapter, with unanimous approval of the draft at the June 26, 2008 Steering <br />Committee meeting, with modifications and incorporating comments from the June 12, <br />2008 review of the Planning Commission meeting. Revisions were detailed in the staff <br />report dated July 2, 2008; and Ms. Radel reviewed upcoming meeting schedules and <br />timetables for further review and ultimate recommendation to the City Council. <br />Page 1 of 9 <br /> <br />
