Variance Board Meeting <br />Minutes – Wednesday, February 06, 2008 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Mr. Lloyd advised that the information was posted early Friday afternoon, February 1, <br />2008; however, staff had been immediately notified by a regular e-mail subscriber of a <br />problem linking some information, and that staff had corrected the problem yet that <br />afternoon. <br />Ms. Ryan reiterated her concern about the short notice; and not being able to access <br />the referenced materials on the website; and suggested an alternative notification <br />process. <br />Chair Boerigter apologized for the technical difficulties; and suggested that in the <br />future Ms. Ryan call City Hall when experiencing similar difficulties. <br />Ms. Ryan advised that she and her neighbors were accustomed to the internet, and <br />the ability to research agenda information at their leisure, rather than calling staff. <br />Chair Boerigter again apologized for the difficulties; but noted that staff had taken <br />immediate action to resolve the technical difficulties; and opined that the process <br />worked. <br />Chair Boerigter closed the Public Hearing, with no one appearing for or against. <br />A brief discussion was held between the applicant and Commissioners regarding the <br />rationale for locating the garage on the short side of the lot; with the applicant noting <br />that it was adjacent to the kitchen. <br />MOTION <br />Member Doherty moved, seconded by Member Boerigter to adopt Variance <br />Board Resolution No. 76 entitled, “A Resolution APPROVING VARIANCES to <br />Roseville City Code, Section 1012 (General Requirements and to Section 703 <br />(Regulation of Public Ways), for Emily Tamura, 1000 Woodhill Drive (PF-08- <br />003);” approving the request for a three foot (3’) VARIANCE to the required <br />principal structure setback from a side property established in City code, <br />Section 1012.01B (Alternative Lot Requirements) to allow the proposed <br />expansion of the attached garage, and a three foot (3’) VARIANCE to City Code, <br />Section 703.04 (Driveway Standards), to enable an expansion of the driveway to <br />match the edge of the proposed new garage at 1000 Woodhill Drive, based on <br />the comments and findings outlined in Section 5, and subject to conditions <br />detailed in Section 6 of the staff report dated February 6, 2008. <br />Ayes: 3 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />Chair Boerigter advised the applicant of the appeal process timeframe. <br />5.
