Discussion included current liaison service by Councilrnernbers and current tirne consumption; areas of interest to the Council as a whole; and those areas noi be- ing pursued that could be irnportani. Councilmember Pust suggested, at a rninimum, an update of the 200] list of liai- son activities, as part of the publie record, and links the Counci] rnaintaine� with other agencies and organizaiio�s (i.e., Narthwest Youth and �'amily Services). Mayor Klausing req�ested that int�ividual Counci�mern.bers �rovide siaff with their �iaison and representation on various boards for creation of an updated list of aetive service. Counc�lmember Pust s�ggested that the ciiscussion and representation incIude strategic planning with listed priorities, ar�d whic� groups woz�ld further the inter- ests of the City and those priarities. Mayor Klausing concurred; and noted they sho�id �e incorporated into the �009 budget cycle, with potentially including inter-suburbar� groups speci#ically fa- cused on �rst-ring subur�s, with membership funds available in the 200$ Budget far Im.agin.e Roseville 2025 contingency funds. Couneilmember Kough noted upcoming decisions (September 33, �008} for cable franchise fees, and irr,pacts to fhe City and staff. Mayor Klausin,� reminded individ�al Councilmembers �o provide their service re- cords to staff for further discussion at a future meeting, Speci�c discussiqn on appointments ta the HRA included policy considerations; cire�amstances; Mayoral appointments; and individual mayoral preference. Couneilmember Roe suggested that individual Councilmembers, when providing iheir service groups to staff, include their thoughts on other graups that rnay be bene�cial to the City.
