<br />Here are my thoughts/suggestions on the 12/15 minutes draft:
<br />Page 3, item 5a: If possible, the last names of the Target employees should be included
<br />(lines 11 and 35). Also, the names of the sponsors as listed by the Chief should be
<br />included in the minutes (per the Staff Note)
<br />Page 19, line 21: Change "Quite Claim" to "Quit Claim"
<br />Page 24, line 31: Replace "2009 budget" with "2009 levy" (Councilmember Ihlan's motion
<br />was specific to the levy, as I recall - plus my later motion to amend the budget becomes
<br />redundant if the word "budget" remains in the Ihlan motion here.)
<br />Page 28, line 39: Remove "budget and" before the word "levy", and strike the rest of the
<br />sentence after "$340,000" (For the same reasons as the Page 24 change noted above.)
<br />Page 30, line 11: Change "$37,530,975" to "$37,870,975" (the original budget amount in
<br />the resolution in the packet) and remove "and $40,000 respectively" (This was not yet
<br />part of the motion, until the amendment passed.)
<br />Page 30, line 12: Change "$37,490,975" to "$37,530,975" (This is the original modified
<br />resolution amount that was moved by the mayor, reflecting the $340,000 that was passed
<br />prior to his motion. I don't think the further $40,000 reduction should be mentioned
<br />until that amendment is noted in the minutes.)
<br />Page 30, line 38: Change "opposition" to "support" (Councilmember Ihlan supported - and
<br />voted for - her own motion.)
<br />Page 31, line 0: Insert the following paragraph to clarify the original motion, before
<br />the roll call vote on the amended final budget resolution:
<br />Mayor Klausing called for a vote on the original motion, as amended, to pass Resolution
<br />No. 10675 entitled, "Resolution Adopting the Final 2009 Annual Budget for the City of
<br />Roseville," as amended, reducing the proposed amount of $37,870,975 by $380,000, for a new
<br />budget amount of $37,490,975.
<br />(That gets the final total to the right point, and summarizes the the actions of the
<br />council prior to this vote.)
<br />Page 31, lines 16-18: Replace this paragraph, as written, with the following:
<br />Mr. Miller advised that the $308,000 proposed HRA levy in the packet reflects the
<br />preliminary amount of $358,000 adopted in September by the HRA, and subsequent HRA action
<br />reducing the proposed final levy by $50,000. Staff further recommended reduction of the
<br />HRA levy by another $50,000, to $258,000.
