The attached file contains a comparison of the <br />various budget scenarios. With the proposed reductions in the levy, the City's tax rate <br />for 2009 is estimated to be 25.5$. In 2008, the .rate was 23.48. <br />A zero levy increase would necessitate the cutting of an additional $582,500 in spending <br />above and beyond what has already been eliminated. For comparison purposes, this is the <br />equivalent of 10 full-time employees. Staff will be prepared to speak to this further at <br />tonight's meeting. <br />Christopher K. Of course, <br />that would mean cutting spending in other areas by the $355,000 that we added in debt <br />funding for the skating center. <br />1 <br />
