~ n ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~,~-~~ <br />,, <br />1 a~15 ~b$ <br />1~~,~ <br />Parks and Recreation Department <br />~~, 0 1po . o <br />~~.oi~ re~a1~ <br />:`:~ ~. <br />~~~~ o <br />°~o o.o <br />a.e~.axan wpvtmsm <br />.~ ~~ <br />.`~ PRA ~. <br />•14•~d-~____~~*4 t <br />To: Mayor, City Council Members and City Manager William Malinen <br />From: Lonnie Brokke, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />Date: December 15, 2008 <br />Re: Master Plan Price Ranges <br />At the November 17, 2008 City Council meeting authorization was given to issue a <br />Request for Proposals (RFP) to update the Parks and Recreation System Master Plan. <br />Based upon pre RFP meetings, the cost of the project was estimated to be $150,000. <br />You asked that actual proposal numbers be provided to you at your December 15tH, <br />2008 meeting. <br />On November 19t", 2008 the RFP's were issued to (13) known qualified firms. <br />The proposals were due on December 12, 2008 and (9) proposals were received. <br />Interviews have not been conducted and the proposals have not been reviewed in great <br />detail.. Some proposals did provide a clearer "not to exceed" amount than others. The <br />majority of the proposals were in the price range of $125,000 - $150,000, however there <br />were (3) outside that range with (2) being lower and (1) being higher. All proposals were <br />subject to some interpretation and will be sorted out during the evaluation, interview and <br />pre-award process. <br />A lot of analysis still needs to be completed; the next steps in the process will be to: <br />• Interview all or some firms to discuss their proposals, costs and <br />approaches in detail. <br />• Solicit advice and input from the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />• Bring back to the City Council for consideration. <br />Thank you and if you have any questions, please contact me. <br />
