EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 26~' day of January, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: Roe, Johnson, Pust, Ihlan, and Klausing; and the following were absent: None. Member Roe introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 10687 Preliminary Approval of the City of Roseville 2030 Comprehensive Plan WHEREAS, the city of Roseville (the City) is located within the seven-county jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Council. WHEREAS, the City has initiated a decennial update of its Comprehensive Plan as required under Minnesota Statute 473.864, Subd. 2. WHEREAS, the City hired Hoisington Koegler Group Inc. to lead the planning process, appointed a Steering Committee to provide feedback to the consultant, and sought public input into the development of the Plan through focus groups, public open houses, and public hearings. WHEREAS, on October 13, 2008, the City Council released the draft 2030 Comprehensive Plan (the Plan) to neighboring jurisdictions and affected special districts for their review and comment as is required under Minnesota Statute 473.858, Subd 2. WHEREAS, the City has received comments from all neighboring jurisdictions and affected special districts and revised the Plan when appropriate. WHEREAS, on January 7, 2009, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the draft Plan and unanimously passed a resolution recommending the draft 2030 Comprehensive Plan for adoption by the City Council as required by Section 201.07 of Roseville's City Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council, subject to Metropolitan Council review, grants preliminary approval of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan and authorizes submission of the Plan to the Metropolitan Council for its review.
