Attachment A AGREEMENT FOR SUPPLEMENTAL LAW ENFORC�MENT SERVlCES The COUNTY OF RAMSEY, hereinafter referred ta as the "COUNTY" and the CITY OF ROSEVILLE, hereirrafter referred to as #he "CITY", enter into this Agreement for the period from May 1, 2009, througF� September 30, 2009. WITNESSETH: WH�REAS, pursuant to MINN. STAT. Chapter $6B, fhe Ramsey Cour�#y Sheriff has the obligati�n to maintain a program of search, rescue, buoying or marking, patrol, remo�al of hazards to na�igation, and inspection of waiercraft re�ating to iake use ("Pragram Services"}; and WHEREAS, , the COUNTY and the CITY desire ta enter into a joinf pawers agreement pursuant to MfNN. STAT. §471.59, to harre the Ramsey County Sh�riff's Office provide Program Services an #he surface and shorelines of �ake Owasso; NOVII, THEREFORE, THE COUNTYAND THE CITYAGREE AS FOLLOWS: �. The Ramsey County Sl�erifF shall pravide Program Ser�ices, as well as enforcement of a�l appficabie CITY ordinances relating to water safeiy and use (coflectively, "Contract Services") to the CITY on the surface and shoreline af Lake Owasso �o #he extent and in the manner �ereinafter set fa�th, ir� additian to fhe patrof and palice services regularly provided. 2. The rendition of the Contract Services, the standards of performance, fhe discipli�e of officers, and other mat�ers incident to the performance of such serv�ces and the control of personnel so employed, shall remain wifh the COUNTY. In the e�enf of a dispute between the parties as to the extent of the duties and f�nctions fo b� rendered hereunder or the manner of perfofmar�ce of such ser�ice, the determination thereof made by the COUNTY sl�all be final ar�d canclusiue �etween the parties hereto. 3. The COUNTY a�rees to pro�ide trained Uniformed depufies with proper �quipment, identification, and communicatians on �ake Qwasso during afl haurs that Contract Services are provided by fhe Ramsey County SherifF under this Agre�ment. 4. The numb�r af hours of Cor�tract Services to be pra�ided during the Term of this Agr�em�nt shafl be as follows: Wint�r Patral: zero (�) hours, Summer Patrol: forty #wo (42) hours. It is agreed that the schedule of days and hours of work shall be determined at the discretion of fhe Ramsey County Sheriff with emphasis being plac�d an weekends and halidays. 5. All Depu#y Sheriffs, cferks, dispa#chers and a!I other personnel performing du�ies pursuant to this Agreement shall at all times be consid�red employees of the COUNTY
