Department Approval <br />� <br />Item Description <br />BACKGROUND <br />l�'�, <br />Jy <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 2/23/09 <br />Item No.: 7.e <br />City Manager Approval <br />� / <br />Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and Ordering Advertisement for <br />Bids for Roselawn Avenue <br />On Monday, January 29, 2009, a public improvement hearing was held for City Proj ect No. P-09-02: <br />Roselawn Avenue Reconstruction project. Following the hearing, the City Council ordered the <br />improvement and preparation of plans and specifications of the proposed proj ect. The next step in the <br />process is for the City Council to approve plans and specifications and authorize the advertisement for <br />bids. Consistent with Roseville's Assessment Policy, 25% of the street reconstruction costs would be <br />assessed to adjacent property owners based on lot width. The Council adopted an estimated assessment <br />rate of $48.06/ ft for this improvement. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />State statute requires a Council resolution approving plans and specifications and ordering the advertisement <br />for bids for all public improvements to be assessed.
