Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, June 15, 2009 <br />Page 25 <br />Councilmember Roe opined that he had spent hours reviewing and researching <br />this proposed use, and expressed his concern in being characterized so negatively <br />by Councilmember Ihlan. Councilmember Roe opined that the amendment made <br />sense, noting that the City didn't notify people of an application for any other land <br />use decision until a Public Hearing was scheduled, noting the possibility that this <br />and/or any application can be withdrawn before. <br />Unidentified Female Speaker <br />The speaker referenced previous crematorium issues and processes, seeking to <br />provide an analogy for this proposed use. <br />Mayor Klausing asked the recording secretary to read back his motion to amend. <br />He then clarified the motion to add that the city notice be provided, at a minimum, <br />14 days before any City action. Approve Acquisition of Portions of Property located at 2690 Cleveland Ave- <br />nue and 1947 County Road C for Road and Construction Purposes <br />This action is as a result of discussions held during .Closed Executive Session. <br />City Attorney Eric Quiring was present for this discussion. <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon reviewed a draft Settlement <br />Agreement in Lieu of Condemnation between the City of Roseville and Roseville <br />Acquisitions, LLC, for purchase of properties for the Twin Lakes Infrastructure <br />Project and proposed settlement of eminent domain action for properties located <br />at 2690 Cleveland Avenue and 1947 County Road C. Staff recommended settle- <br />ment as detailed in the draft Agreement as presented, and made available to the <br />public. <br />Councilmember Ihlan clarified that the purchase price was greater than the ap- <br />praised value of the property. <br />Mr. Trudgeon confirmed that the purchase price was $25,000 above the appraised <br />value for both properties. <br />
