EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 20th day of July, 2009 <br />at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Pust, Roe, Ihlan, Johnson and Klausing <br />and the following were absent: none. <br />Member Pust introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION No. 10735 <br />Minnesota GreenCorps <br />WHEREAS, The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is seeking communities <br />interested in hiring two MN GreenCorps workers to spend a year <br />dedicated to improving our environment and strengthening our forestry <br />program; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Roseville is committed to improving the environment and <br />reducing the City's carbon footprint; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Roseville is committed to maintaining a strong forestry <br />program; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Roseville is committed to provide professional supervision, <br />office space and supplies, training and other support to ensure a successful <br />work experience; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville City Council <br />enthusiastically supports the City's application for a Local Government <br />Energy Conservation Specialist and Urban Forestry Specialist to assist in <br />Roseville's efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and to improve our <br />forestry program. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Johnson, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Pust, <br />Roe, Ihlan, Johnson and Klausing <br />and the following voted against the same: none. <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
