Department Approval <br />l�'�, <br />Jy <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 06-15-09 <br />Item No.: 12.c <br />City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Community Development Department Request to issue a Ramsey County <br />Court Citation for Unresolved Violations of City Code at 2992 Victoria <br />Street. <br />BACKGROUND <br />• The subject property is a single-family detached home. <br />• The current owner is Kimberly Granse who lives in the property. <br />• Original public nuisance notices were sent in September of 2008 regarding the following <br />violations: <br />• Tent type garage in rear year (a violation of City Code Section 1010.03 and 1010.04). <br />• Gravel driveway extension (a violation of City Code Section 1018.OS.C.7). <br />The property owner requested an extension until Spring of 2009 to remove the tent structure and <br />cover or remove the gravel driveway expansion. An inspection on June 2, 2009 revealed that <br />the violations have not been corrected. <br />A status update, including pictures, will be provided at the public hearing. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />The City goals within the Comprehensive Plan are to protect and improve property values (Goa13, 4, <br />and 5; page 6 and, Section 3) and to adhere to performance standards which protect the integrity of the <br />housing units and the neighborhood (Policy 6, page 8, Section 3). <br />FnvaNCiaL IlviracTs <br />Ramsev Countv Court Citation: <br />A court citation would not result in additional cost for the city as the prosecuting attorney performs <br />these cases as part of their contract. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
