There are three main options for our citizens in this review process. They can attend one of the open book meeti.ngs, they can appeal to the t�amsey County Special Board of Appeal and Equalizatian, or they can file a petition with the Minnesota Tax CourY. Open B�ak Meetings The assessors office will again be holding open book meetings with t�e public. The inte�t af these meetings is ta provide an opparturrity far properry awners to meet i:ndividually with a coun#y appraiser to re�iew their property information far accuracy, discuss how t.heir praperty was valued, and t.a answer questians ai�out the assessment. The 2009 meetrngs are scheduled as follows:. Far Gity Properties April 1 and 3, 10:00 a:m: - 7,00 p.m, Property Records & Revenue Conference Center, 90 West Plato Blvd., 5t. Pauf For Suburban Praperties Aprii 6 thru April S-10:00 a.m. - 7:D0 p..m. Property Records & R.e�enue Conference Center, 9Q West Plato Blvd., St. Paul Taxpayers will be asked ta fill out a registration form priar to meeting with an Assessor. We request owners bring a copy of their 2009 Valuation Natice. Caunty Board af Appeaf and Equalizatian 5t_ ep 1— iaxpayers may request a formal review by the County Assessar by completing a County Board af Appeal and Equ:alization form, which can. be obtained frarrt our ofFice. Appeal forms must be postmarked by May 15, 2009. _ iheir appeal will be reviewed a�d they will be natified by mail of the rESUIt. St, ep 2— If they still are not sa#isfied with our response to iheir appeal, they may appear before the County Board af Appeal and Equalization in persan, by letter, or through an authorized personal representative. They must call 651.�66.2131 in ad�ance to get on the Boarci agenda. A11 appearances will be by appointment onfy. The 2009 Caunty Board of App�al and Equalization will me�t at the Ramsey County Propert.y Records and Reven�e Building at 90 W. Plato Baulevard St. Pauf MN. The Spec'ral Board pf Appeal and Equalization wifl can�ene June 17, 2p09 and conclude on or f�efore June 3Q, 2009. The m.eeting times will. be from 8::30 a.m. to 5:04 p.m. - Minnesota Tax Court Taxpayers have until April 3�, 2009, to file an appeal with the Minnesota Tax Court for the 2008 payable 2009 �alua:tion.
