~~7 6.11 Based on our analysis above, the DRC and Planning Division recommend <br />guiding of ~~~ subject 2.61-acre parcel from Low Density Residential to High Density <br />Residential <br />I agree that Staff analysis presents a case for dropping this <br />parcel's designation of low-density residential. It does not, <br />however, justify high-density residential. Medium density or <br />Park density may provide the highest and best use. <br />Addendum (or last minute plea): <br />As to the PUD plan before the Council tonight, I'd like to make <br />a plea to retain the four or five majestic oaks on the north side <br />of this parcel, knowing that contractors usually like to <br />completely clear the site during construction. (Suggest they <br />use the open lot across the street for a construction yard and <br />storage.) <br />Also, please note the PUD's plan's complete lack of any outdoor <br />pathways for senior residents to use. If the developer says <br />there is no room on the site for such amenities, I would suggest <br />that the site is too small for what he is purposing. <br />City Council Remarks July 13, 2009 6 <br />
