Consider Items Removed from Consent <br />a. Adopt a Resolution Approving Vacation of a portion of Mount Ridge right- <br />. of-way and Conveyance of land owned by the City for road purposes (former <br />Consent Item 7.e) <br />At the request of Mayor Klausing, City Manager Bill Malinen briefly reviewed <br />this item, as detailed in the Request for Council Action dated July 13, 2009. <br />City Manager Malinen advised that staff was proposing vacation of the roadway <br />to adjacent property owners in the development area as taxable property, with <br />unanimous support and recommendation of the Planning Commission. <br />Councilmember Ihlan opined that, since there was not a pending development re- <br />quest for this property, and considering the potential for change should Twin <br />Lakes Parkway-not developed to connect through to Fairview Avenue, there may <br />be a future need for this right-of--way. Councilmember Ihlan opined that this ac- <br />tion was premature and may predicate the City needing to re-acquire the roadway <br />in the future, at public expense. <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon briefly reviewed the right- <br />of-way locations; with Prior Avenue specifically designated in future County <br />
