The Board of Trustees may exclude from membership in this Association any <br />applicant who, due to some medically determinable physical or mental impairment or condition, <br />would constitute for the Association a predictable and unwarranted risk of the commencement of a <br />retirement benefit at an age earlier than fifty (50) yeazs of age, or any applicant who would increase <br />the risk of injury to the applicant or other firefighters while engaged in active service. <br />Notwithstanding anythin~ to the contrary in these Bylaws fiill-time employees of the Roseville Fire <br />Department who are members of the Association as of October 1 2006 shall continue to be deemed <br />members of the Association and eligible for benefits payable pursuant to these B lbws <br />Section 53 Membership ~;~nn-p~kse~ <br />lraf~~~ Any member of the Association except for full-time employees who are members of <br />the Association on or before October 1 2006 who participates in a City of Roseville endorsed <br />pension alternative to this Association including PERA shall have their Association membership <br />cancelled and shall forfeit for themselves their stuviving spouse and minor children all claims for <br />any benefits payable pursuant to these B, laws <br />Section 44A Less Than 20 Years Service <br />Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Bylaws, a member who separates from active <br />service and who has been a member of this Association for at least $}five 5 yeazs, but less <br />than twenty (20) years, and who has completed not less than 8)five 5 years of active service <br />as an active firefighter, shall upon attaining the age of fifty (50) years be entitled to receive a lump <br />sum service pension in such amount as is earned to the date of sepazation from active service for <br />each full year of service completed as follows: <br />COMPLETED YEARS <br />OF SERVICE <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />PRO RATE SERVICE <br />PENSION AMOUNT <br />40% <br />44% <br />48% <br />42% <br />56% <br />60% <br />64% <br />68% <br />72% <br />76% <br />80% <br />84% <br />88% <br />
