Coun- <br />cilmember Pus� opined �ha�, while sta�'f, consultants, and �he Cxty <br />Council though� they had �oreseen a�� zssues, the City Caunc�� was al- <br />lowzng addi�ional pub�ic comm�nt time to give ev�ryone �n the City <br />an opportunity �o make comm�nt at the Augusi 2a, 2007 meeting. <br />Counci�m�mbear Pust's praposed motion was: <br />"By resolution, d�t�rmine that the Twin Lakes Business Park AUAR Update is <br />ec�mplete and accurate, and authorize its distribution — 1N T�� �ORM Dl- <br />REC��i7 �Y THE C!�'Y COUNC��. AF7"�R R�C�IVtNG F'1JBLlC ifVPlJT U� <br />AlJGUST 20, 2007, to the organizations an the EQB's �AW distribution listi far a <br />review a�d objectian period, B�GIf�IVING iV0 EARLIER THAN AUGUST 27, <br />2007.,, <br />Mr. Carlson opined tk�at, while the document contained a myriad o�' <br />�nformation, ci��zen cornments should b� considered as we�l. Mr. <br />C�rlson further apined that staff was conf dent that the documen� was <br />as complete and accurate as possib�e, was based on the EQ� docu- <br />ment, and s�a�'�'s ana�ysis of the various scenarios. Mr. Carlson sug� <br />gested that there may be a policy quest�on: "Are those scenarios con� <br />sistent with the City's Comprehensive P�an, as di�ected by the C��y <br />�ouncil?" Mr, Car�son read a portion of the Business Park designa- <br />�ion under th� cu�rent Compxehensiv� P�an in thezar context, �vi�h the <br />entzre AUAR area design�d BP with m�xed uses. Mr. Car�son opined <br />that, if the City Council as a policy-making body, didn't �'ee� the <br />document r�flected i�eir deezszons to-aate, t�en ��ey could take issue <br />with �hat. <br />Additzona� diseussion ensued regarding the proposed mption and pur- <br />pose o;f speci�c Ian�uage and actions; and need to hear p�bIic com- <br />men� and allow iim� for reflection, s�af� comment or potentia� re- <br />search. <br />Roe moved, Pust secpnded, tabling ae�ion on authorizing �he distribu- <br />t�on of the Dra£t A�ternativ� Urban Are�.wide Rev�ew {AUAR) Up- <br />
